Starting position: Side-sit, one leg aligned with shoulder rest, other knee aligned with inside edge of carriage. Spine neutral. Breathing: Inhale to lengthen spine; exhale to push carriage away from foot bar, arm making C-shape overhead; inhale hold, exhale return. Imagery: Body sliding sideways between two glass panels.

【Direct】As you push the carriage away into a side bend, keep the contralateral sit bone pressed evenly into the carriage mat without lifting as the body moves. On exhalation, feel the lower rib cage margin actively contracting inward to create more internal space for the spine's lateral bending. 【Indirect】Venetian Blinds: Imagine your ribs are a set of precision blinds; during the side bend, the segments on the upper side open layer by layer to greet the sunlight, while the lower segments overlap smoothly. P- add spinal rotation/counter-rotation during side bend; P- increase spring tension.

COMMON ERRORS 常见错误

Shifting trunk instead of side bending; rib flaring; contralateral sit bone lifting off carriage; scapular elevation; head dropping or jutting forward.

用躯干的侧移取代侧弯;肋骨外翻;对侧坐骨抬离滑板;肩胛上提;头垂下或前突。

PRECAUTIONS 注意事项

Osteoporosis (rotation variation contraindicated).
